Thomas Carney, commonly known as Tom Carney, is an accomplished business executive and attorney who has made a significant impact in the manufacturing industry. He currently serves as the CEO of Royal Basket Trucks, Inc., a leading manufacturer of material handling carts and accessories based in Wisconsin. With over two decades of experience at the helm of the company, Carney has played an instrumental role in driving the growth and success of Royal Basket Trucks.

Carney was born on May 28, 1954, in Norfolk, Nebraska, and graduated from Wayne State College with a Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1976. During his time in college, he was an active participant in various extracurricular activities, including the Student Senate (President 2 years) and the Swim Team, where he honed his leadership and teamwork skills. After completing his undergraduate degree and four years of teaching and coaching, Carney went on to pursue a Juris Doctorate from Creighton University School of Law, where he graduated in 1983.  He followed his law degree with a Masters of Law in Taxation from the Georgetown Law Center.

Carney’s legal expertise led him to work as a Senior Manager of Tax at Deloitte & Touche from November 1984 to December 1988. His responsibilities included providing tax consulting services to various clients. In 1988, Carney joined Fluid Management, where he served as a Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer for almost a decade. During his tenure, he was responsible for managing the company’s financial and legal affairs and played a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding its market reach.

In 1997, Carney purchased two related companies, Curtition, a company specializing in commercial window treatments and Royal Basket Trucks, Inc.  Curtition was sold so Carney and his team could focus their attention on Royal Basket Trucks, Inc.  Under his leadership, the company has grown into a multi-million-dollar enterprise, serving clients across North America. Carney has been credited with introducing innovative product designs, expanding the company’s product lines, and streamlining its operations.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Carney is an active member of his community and has volunteered his time and resources to various philanthropic causes.  With his impressive track record and unwavering commitment to excellence, Thomas Carney is widely recognized as one of the most successful and influential business executives in the manufacturing industry.
