Gary Witt

Business Consultant

Gary Witt currently works with a number of small to medium sized family-owned manufacturing businesses in the Southeastern Wisconsin area, providing advisory services in the areas of leadership, strategy, financial performance improvement and family transition, serving on several of those company’s Boards.  As part of this effort, he served as Chairman of the Board of MPC Inc., from May 2015 until he helped the family sell the business in 2018.  MPC was a $250 million family-owned manufacturer and Tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry, providing plastic components for powertrain applications. In this role, he also served the final year as Interim CEO. 

In addition, Witt most recently was part owner and Financial Oversight Board member for Geneva Supply, a $100 million eCommerce distribution and service provider, recently named as one of the Top Entrepreneurial company in America by Entrepreneur Magazine.

Witt “retired” from Pentair in 2014, having served in Lake Geneva, WI as President of the Flow Technologies business unit since 2009.  Flow Technologies is a global market leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of water pumps with sales of $1.1 billion, employing 3,500 people working in 13 facilities worldwide.   

Previous to that he served as the President of Pentair Water Europe, Middle East and Africa for four years where he was responsible for Pentair’s Pool, Pump and Filtration businesses, consolidating the region into a single cohesive and successful unit.  He first joined Pentair in 1999 as Chief Financial Officer for Pentair Technical Products, later holding the same title with Pentair Water. 

Prior to joining Pentair, Witt was the Chief Financial Officer for Cookson Plastic Molding and held a variety of progressively responsible roles at Cooper Industries in Finance, Strategic Development and Marketing.  As a Certified Public Accountant, he worked as an auditor for KPMG early in his career.

Born and raised in Dallas, TX, Witt graduated from Abilene Christian University with a BA in Accounting in 1979 and earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Harvard University in 1990.
